PLA General Hospital (301)

 PLA General Hospital (301)

The General Hospital of the People's Liberation Army of China (hereinafter referred to as "the General Hospital of the People's Liberation Army"), located at No. 28, Fuxing Road, Wanshou Road Street, Haidian District, Beijing, is a large modern comprehensive hospital integrating medical treatment, health care, teaching, scientific research, prevention, rehabilitation, nuclear, biochemical protection, and medical rescue to build a world-class military hospital.

The hospital was formerly an organ hospital directly under the Military Commission. Its red blood can be traced back to the August 1 Nanchang Uprising in 1927. With the establishment and development of the people's army, it grew up in the gunfire. On August 5, 1953, under the kind care of the founding fathers, such as Chairman Mao, Premier Zhou and Commander Zhu, it was officially established. On August 4, 1954, it was renamed the No. 301 Hospital of the People's Liberation Army. On June 6, 1957, it was renamed the General Hospital of the People's Liberation Army. On November 4, 1958, it set up the Military Medical College (renamed the PLA Medical College in April 2012), which was the first hospital to run schools.

After the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, under the guidance of Xi Jinping's thought of building a strong military, the hospital has embarked on the fast track of reform, reconstruction, transformation and development in an all-round way. On November 2, 2018, the newly restructured PLA General Hospital was announced to be established, also known as the PLA Medical College. It consists of the First Medical Center (the former Clinical Department of Internal Medicine and Surgery, the Medical Technology Department, and the Outpatient Department), the Second Medical Center (the former South Building Clinical Department), the Third Medical Center (the former Armed Police General Hospital), the Fourth Medical Center (the former 304 Clinical Department), the Fifth Medical Center (the former 302 and 307 hospitals), the Sixth Medical Center (the former Navy General Hospital), the Seventh Medical Center (the former Army General Hospital) The Eighth Medical Center (the former General Staff Hospital), Hainan Hospital, Jingdong Medical District, Jingnan Medical District, Jingxi Medical District, Jingbei Medical District, Jingzhong Medical District, Graduate School and other units.
