Linyi People's Hospital in Shandong Province was founded in 1891, formerly the American Church Hospital, and has a long history of 128 years. At present, the hospital is one of the first provincial regional medical centers in Shandong Province, the fifth affiliated hospital of Shandong University, the national postdoctoral research workstation, the national resident standardized training base, the national stroke screening and prevention base, and the national clinical pharmacist training base.

At present, the hospital has five medical areas, namely, the headquarters medical area, the north medical area (orthopedics), the south medical area (brain), the east medical area (infection department), and the Beicheng New Area Hospital. The Beicheng New Area Hospital is a key livelihood project determined by the municipal party committee and the municipal government, covering an area of 500 mu, with a planned total floor area of 973000 square meters. It plans to build medical, rehabilitation, scientific research, teaching Functional areas such as geriatrics and logistics services are planned to be constructed in three phases.
